Installing Punjabi Font: Step-by-Step Instructions
Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP Users
- Download the fonts file WebLipiHeavy.ttf and save it preferably on the desktop. (Note: The desktop is your screen plus the icons seen on it). When downloading you may save the item in any folder or disk you wish, but remember where you save it, and remember the name of the file you save, because that will help you find it later.
- Now click one time on the WebLipiHeavy.ttf file, and thereafter press Ctrl and c keys simultaneously on the keyboard to copy the font file.
- Now double click on My Computer icon on the desktop (your computer screen). This action will open up a new window.
- Locate Control Panel icon inside My Computer window and double click on it or open the Control Panel through the task bar (Start > Settings > Control Panel). Note: In case of Windows XP switch Control Panel dispaly to classic mode to see fonts folder. The action of opening Control Panel will open up another window or another page in the same window.
- Locate Fonts icon inside Control Panel window and double click on it. This action will open up another window or page in the same window.
- From the Edit menu from the top of the Fonts window select Paste to paste the fonts in this window. If you did every thing right so far, the fonts named WebLipiHeavy will appear here. The fonts are now installed and ready for use through your programs. You may now close open windows to tidy your desktop.
